Two men, Thabo Blessing Dube and Martin Charlie, who were facing charges of raping a woman known as Mai Jeremaya, have been found not guilty.
The verdict was delivered by the court after a full trial, where the prosecution failed to provide sufficient evidence to secure a conviction. The judge ruled that the state had not proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
The case had drawn public attention, and the court urged the public to respect the judicial process and avoid making assumptions before the completion of legal proceedings.
