Speaking at a land tenure lecture in Bulawayo today, Kuda Tagwireyi highlighted the important role land ownership plays in Zimbabwe’s economy.

He explained that secure and fair access to land is essential for development and can help create jobs, especially in agriculture.

Tagwireyi said, “When people have clear rights to their land, they are more likely to invest in farming, infrastructure, and sustainable practices, which in turn boosts productivity and employment.”

He added that solving land tenure problems would empower communities, increase trust in land use, and attract both local and international investors.

In Zimbabwe’s case, he believes that stronger land rights are key to growing the economy, improving lives, and reducing joblessness.
