MWOS FC suffered their first-ever Castle Lager Premier Soccer League defeat to Ngezi Platinum yesterday at Baobab Stadium.
Ngezi Platinum scored the opener in the early stages of the game, but the punters responded well in the first half through Billy Vheremu to level the score at 1-1. The first half ended at 1-1.
In the 57th minute, Ngezi Platinum’s Karengesha extended the Madamburo’s lead. Ngezi Platinum sealed the win with a third goal, securing a 3-1 victory.
This marked the first-ever defeat for the Lloyd Mutasa-coached side. They finished the first half of the season with 9 wins, 7 draws, and 1 loss.
In other news, The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match between FC Platinum and Dynamos FC was abandoned at Mandava Stadium yesterday. The Premier Soccer League has confirmed that the match was abandoned due to unspecified circumstances.

The PSL has announced that it will await the match officials’ reports on the matter and will determine the next course of action according to the league’s rules and regulations. Both FC Platinum and Dynamos FC will be required to submit written reports on the events that transpired during the match.
The PSL has strongly condemned any acts of misconduct that lead to the abandonment of matches, warning that those found guilty will face the full wrath of the prescribed penalties.
