Harare, Zimbabwe – Tap & Go, Zimbabwe’s newest ride-hailing service, officially launched in June 2025 with a high-profile motorcade through Harare’s Trababalas Interchange, led by Presidential Investment Advisor Dr. Paul Tungwarara.
The company aims to revolutionise urban transport through technology, job creation, and reliable service.
More than 60 vehicles are already on the road, each fitted with Starlink satellite internet, onboard cameras, and free Wi-Fi, offering uninterrupted connectivity—even in areas with weak mobile networks.
Tap & Go isn’t just about convenience. The platform has already created hundreds of driving jobs, supports digital entrepreneurship through its app, and aligns with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 for tech-driven development.
“We are still empowering. We’re still investing in the brand,” said a company representative. “Yes, yes, we’re also employing women drivers, and next week we’re launching in Bulawayo as well.”
The expansion is expected to boost access to reliable transport while improving road safety, digital inclusion, and economic opportunity—especially in underserved communities.
Tap & Go offers a tiered ride system with Platinum, Gold, and Silver options, ensuring flexibility for every commuter.
As the brand continues to grow, it is set to become a major player in Zimbabwe’s smart mobility sector.
