ZANU PF member Taurai Kandishaya has called on local musicians Ngwere Diki and Kadiki to put an end to their public feud, describing it as harmful to the industry and the youth they represent.
Speaking on social media this week, Kandishaya said the ongoing conflict benefits only “so-called promoters” rather than the artists or their fans.
“In music, we must not create adversaries but allies. I feel there is a need to extinguish the fire between Ngwere Diki and Kadiki because these fights only benefit so-called promoters. These two boys represent a generation collectively, so we must protect them,” he wrote.
Kandishaya also announced plans to fly both artists to Victoria Falls next Friday for a sightseeing tour and discussions with their management about potential collaborations.
In addition, he urged Kadiki’s management to arrange medical attention for the artist’s mother, emphasizing the importance of her wellbeing.
The statement comes amid escalating tensions between the two musicians, which have been widely discussed on social media and in Zimbabwe’s music circles.
