The High Court Sheriff has intensified legal pressure on musician Kikky Bada*s, real name Christabel Stembeni Mahlungwa, 30, over allegations that she concealed a vehicle earmarked for seizure and auction to settle a US$18 000 court debt.
The disputed car, a Toyota Aqua (registration AGS 2268), had been declared executable by the court but could not be found at the address on record. Its disappearance has led the Sheriff to open a criminal case at Ruwa Police Station under reference RRB 6507875.
The dispute stems from a ruling last year by Justice Sunsley Zisengwe, who ordered Kikky to pay US$18 000 in damages to prominent Masvingo lawyer and businessman Rodney Makausi.
The judgement followed allegations she made on Instagram accusing Makausi of soliciting sexual favours, claims the court found to be false and defamatory.
Makausi pursued the lawsuit after the posts were published on the social media platform, insisting they had harmed his professional and personal reputation.
