Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture Minister, Lieutenant-General (Retired) Anselem Nhamo Sanyatwe, yesterday told Simba Bhora Football Club that failure is not an option as they head to Botswana for their first CAF Champions League match next week.

Speaking during a meeting with Simba Bhora at Geo Pomona Stadium, Minister Sanyatwe applauded the club for their hard work which saw them qualify for the CAF tournament.

“I thank all the players you worked very hard and won the Castle Lager Premier League last season. You played brilliantly and emerged champions, earning the honour of representing our country, Zimbabwe, in the CAF tournament.

“Where I came from, at the Zimbabwe National Army, we say failure is never an option. You are going to win in CAF,” said Minister Sanyatwe.

The Minister also commended Simba Bhora for their consistent performances throughout the season.

“We are grateful and confident that the players will deliver. Simba Bhora is not the only team representing us in regional tournaments last week, our Under-17 national team also represented Zimbabwe in their competition,” Minister stated.

Minister Sanyatwe added that the players seem highly motivated.

“What we are anxiously waiting for is the fulfilment of their promise to perform well, win the tournament, and bring the trophy back home,” he said.
