Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has donated a brand-new 2025 Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD6 and USD $50,000 to street evangelist Trymore Muparinga, who is widely known for preaching at the intersection of 1st Street and Speke Avenue in central Harare.
The donation was announced through a public Facebook post by Chivayo earlier this week. In the post, Chivayo praised Muparinga for his consistency, humility, and Christ-centered message, noting that the preacher had remained committed to street ministry despite opportunities to pursue a more conventional church platform.
“There are voices that echo from pulpits, and then there are voices that rise from the pavements,” Chivayo wrote. He commended Muparinga for preaching a message centered on discipline, love, and hard work, without resorting to attacking other religious figures.
Chivayo also highlighted one of Muparinga’s sermons that emphasized the importance of combining prayer with practical effort. He quoted the preacher as saying, “Prayer does not chase away poverty; it drives away the spirit of poverty,” urging Christians to work just as hard as they pray.

Chivayo concluded the post by revealing that Muparinga could collect the vehicle from Exquisite Motors on Monday. He further stated that the $50,000 cash gift was intended to support the evangelist’s ministry, including the purchase of instruments or equipment for outreach purposes.
Muparinga, who has garnered a strong following for his street sermons, has not yet issued a public response to the donation.
The gesture has drawn widespread attention on social media, with many commending Chivayo for supporting grassroots religious efforts.
