Digitalize Zimbabwe Expo Heads to Mutare on June 27–28

Mutare is set to host the upcoming Digitalize Zimbabwe Expo at Mutare Show Grounds on June 27 and 28, as part of national efforts to advance the country’s digital transformation agenda.

The event is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, and aims to unite players from various sectors in support of a more connected and digital future.

Minister of ICT, Postal and Courier Services, Tatenda Mavetera, is expected to attend the two-day event, underscoring the government’s commitment to expanding the digital economy and accelerating key digital initiatives.

Speaking ahead of the event, Pascal Kwaramba, a representative of the Digitalize Zimbabwe Committee, stressed the importance of accessibility and community involvement. “Our collaboration with the Ministry is about ensuring that all stakeholders involved in digital infrastructure engage directly with the communities they serve,” he said. “The expo acts as a bridge, closing the digital divide and encouraging dialogue between service providers and users.”

A variety of exhibitors will be present, offering attendees a chance to explore new technologies, products, and services across the ICT spectrum. “We’re expecting a strong turnout from exhibitors ready to present their innovations,” Kwaramba added.

He also urged the public to take advantage of the opportunity to learn how digital tools can benefit their everyday lives. “We’re inviting everyone who’s curious about how digital technologies can impact their daily experiences to come meet the people delivering these services,” he said.
