Gun Attack at Jewish Festival in Sydney Leaves Many Dead

by Bustop TV News

Two gunmen attacked a Jewish festival at Sydney’s popular Bondi Beach on Sunday, killing at least 16 people and injuring dozens more, according to Australian authorities.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese described the incident as “devastating” and confirmed that police are treating it as a terrorist attack. He said the shooting was a targeted attack on Jewish Australians and happened on the first day of Hanukkah, an important Jewish religious celebration.

Police reported that one of the suspected attackers, a 50-year-old man, was shot dead at the scene. His 24-year-old son, who is believed to be the second gunman, was arrested and taken to hospital in critical condition.

Security has been increased across Sydney as investigations continue. Authorities have condemned the attack and offered support to the victims, their families, and the Jewish community.
