Nkululeko Zulu from KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) was left devastated after discovering that his girlfriend, Diyana Makukeke, had faked an entire pregnancy.
Diyana, 44, claimed the baby had died and even went as far as arranging a funeral.
Zulu had provided financial support throughout the supposed pregnancy and covered the costs of the burial, including securing a grave next to family plots and paying for a goat to be slaughtered as part of the funeral rites.
However, during the funeral, Diyana refused to open the coffin. Growing suspicious, Zulu’s brother insisted it be opened, only to find a doll inside.
The incident has shocked the community.
