A heartless 15-year-old teenager from Rushinga, Mt Darwin was sentenced to a wholly-suspended 10 year prison term after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting three minors aged 5, 6 and 8 years respectively.
The teenager appeared before a Bindura Magistrate.
Court records state that the incident occurred in November 2024 and the victims were aged 5, 6 and 8 years old.
NPA said the juvenile convinced the three minors to accompany him to a nearby river after encountering them on their way home.
“Once there, the male the male juvenile raped the young victims.
“Initially, the victims did not disclose the abuse.
“However, in December 2024 their mother learned rumours regarding the incidents,” said NPA.
A police report was made leading to the offender’s arrest. He pleaded guilty for sexually assaulting two victims, aged 8 and 6.
“For sentencing, the two guilty counts were combined. The offender received a 10 year prison, sentence which was wholly suspended for five years.”
