The Environmental Management Agency (EMA) has significantly enhanced its operational capacity with the addition of 15 new single-cab 4×4 vehicles to its fleet.
The commissioning ceremony, held in Harare, was officiated by Environment Minister Dr. Evelyn Ndlovu, who underscored the government’s commitment to strengthening EMA’s ability to respond effectively to environmental challenges across the country.
This latest acquisition follows a previous delivery six months ago, which included 15 single-cab and 2 double-cab vehicles, further demonstrating the government’s ongoing investment in bolstering EMA’s operational efficiency.
The new 4×4 vehicles are expected to improve the agency’s mobility and responsiveness, enabling it to better monitor and address environmental issues nationwide, particularly in remote and rugged terrains.

The vehicles will support the agency’s efforts in areas such as environmental inspections, conservation initiatives, and rapid response to environmental incidents.
This development is a significant step toward enhancing EMA’s capacity to safeguard Zimbabwe’s natural resources and promote environmental sustainability, ensuring the agency is well-equipped to meet the demands of its mandate.
