An enraged Kwekwe man broke into his ex-girlfriend’s house and stole valuables worth USD 600.
The NPA said Bellington Chingwaru (32) was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment, two of which were suspended on condition of restitution, following a conviction for unlawful entry and theft at a home in Mbizo.
“Chingwaru entered the residence of his ex-girlfriend on 12 June 2025 at around 1700 hours.
“He forced open the main door using an axe before proceeding to the bedroom.
“Chingwaru stole three pairs of shoes, two cellphones, a pair of ear pods, and a Samsung laptop,” said the NPA.
Investigations led to the arrest of Chingwaru, who was in possession of the stolen items.
