Social media personality Mai Jeremaya, who was recently exposed in court as having willingly taken part in a s@x-for-money arrangement she had falsely claimed was rape, is now facing new accusations.
A man known as Baba Tanya says she constantly sent him s@xually suggestive messages and asked for money. He claims she once told him she was “horny” and asked when they would sleep together.
“She kept pressuring me to meet her for s@x,” said Baba Tanya. “I avoided her several times by pretending to travel, but I still sent her money for her hair and mobile data.”
He shared messages where Mai Jeremaya complimented his looks, sent flirty texts, and even sent nude photos. In one message, she said her front camera wasn’t capturing her backside properly after he requested more photos.
In another message, she told him, “I’m so lonely… Call me when you get to Waterfalls Police.”
These new claims come just days after a Harare court acquitted two men, Thabo Blessing Dube and Martin Charlie, who she had accused of gang rape. The court ruled she had consented to the encounter and pointed out major gaps in her testimony.
The magistrate also questioned the role of private investigator Tafadzwa “Advocate Kedha” Chidawa in the case.
“I followed her court case and did not believe her story from the start,” said Baba Tanya. “She almost tried the same thing on me.”
In a message from January 3, 2024, Mai Jeremaya thanked him for supporting her brand and helping build her image.
Attempts to get a response from her over the weekend were unsuccessful. Her silence has added to growing public criticism, with many people now calling for stricter action against those who make false accusations.
