The empowerment-focused organisation VAPORORI 4ED has submitted a formal request to affiliate with ZANU PF, positioning itself as a partner in advancing small and medium enterprise development across Zimbabwe.
In a letter addressed to the party’s leadership, VAPORORI 4ED Chairperson Cde Chamunorwa A. Mutarwa outlined the organisation’s desire to work alongside ZANU PF in supporting national economic objectives, particularly those outlined under Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2).
The chairperson noted that VAPORORI 4ED is dedicated to nurturing small and medium-scale businesses and believes collaboration with the ruling party would strengthen efforts to stimulate economic growth and improve livelihoods. He emphasised that such a partnership would allow the organisation to meaningfully contribute to national development priorities.
VAPORORI 4ED operates under a clearly defined empowerment framework, with a leadership structure that includes a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and Secretary. This team is supported by specialised committees responsible for projects, finance, marketing and community outreach. The organisation also maintains grassroots chapters and thematic groups focused on innovation and enterprise development.
According to its founding principles, VAPORORI 4ED aims to empower Zimbabweans through innovation, accountability and sustainable socio-economic growth — values it says are consistent with ZANU PF’s vision of a prosperous and inclusive nation. Its mission centres on working with political leadership and other stakeholders to implement initiatives that promote transparency, innovation and broad-based economic participation.
The organisation’s constitution highlights objectives such as supporting economic transformation in line with Vision 2030, encouraging innovation-driven development, strengthening accountability mechanisms, and building strategic partnerships to accelerate growth. Regular reporting and feedback systems are embedded to ensure transparency and measurable impact.
VAPORORI 4ED has already undertaken community-based projects, including borehole drilling programmes and entrepreneurship dialogue platforms. The group maintains that its track record and guiding values align with ZANU PF’s empowerment agenda and commitment to uplifting communities.
Through this application, VAPORORI 4ED seeks to complement ongoing efforts to support small and medium enterprises and improve the ease of doing business in Zimbabwe. The organisation has expressed readiness to engage further with ZANU PF leadership to explore collaborative initiatives aimed at driving innovation and inclusive economic development.
