The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has granted approval for Burkina Faso’s Stade du 4 Août in Ouagadougou to host international fixtures, following recent renovations and a successful inspection.
With this green light, the Burkina Faso national team, known as the Stallions, will be able to play home matches at the stadium once again — including an upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier against Egypt scheduled for September.
The stadium had been banned from hosting CAF-sanctioned matches since 2021 due to failure to meet the organization’s infrastructure standards.
