A recent survey by Bustop TV revealed that only a handful of shops in Harare’s Central Business District (CBD) are open today.
The situation is set against a planned demonstration on 31 March 2025, organized by activist Blessed Geza.

Geza stated that the demonstration aims to protest against rising living costs and the lack of job opportunities, urging citizens to unite for change.

In response, the government warned that those participating in the demonstration may face legal consequences and stressed that public order would be maintained.
As the date approaches, tensions rise in the CBD, with many residents concerned about the potential impact on their daily lives.
