The Harare Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) of ZANU PF has collectively recommended businessman and philanthropist Kudakwashe Tagwirei for co-option into the party’s Central Committee, a significant decision-making body.
Tagwirei, a well-known entrepreneur with close connections to the ruling party, has made a substantial impact across several industries, including fuel, mining, and agriculture. His backing by the PCC reflects increasing support for his role within the leadership of ZANU PF.
This recommendation will be forwarded to the national leadership for further consideration. Should it be approved, Tagwirei will become a member of the Central Committee, which plays a pivotal role in guiding ZANU PF’s policies and strategies.
His nomination comes as the party continues to focus on its internal restructuring and preparations for the 2028 general elections. Analysts suggest that his inclusion may enhance ZANU PF’s financial resources and strategic standing as it prepares for future political challenges.
Further information regarding the final decision on his appointment is anticipated in the near future.
