Henrietta Rushwaya, head of the Shanghai-Zimbabwe Miners Federation (ZMF), is actively courting Chinese investment in Zimbabwe’s mining sector. At the recent China Gold Congress and Expo, Rushwaya presented the country as an attractive destination for gold mining.
She highlighted Zimbabwe’s abundant gold reserves, investor-friendly policies, world-class infrastructure, and skilled workforce as key selling points. Rushwaya emphasized the potential for substantial returns on investment while contributing to Zimbabwe’s economic growth.
“Zimbabwe’s gold sector offers numerous opportunities for investment and sustainable growth,”
“Our workforce is adept at supporting sophisticated mining operations, providing investors with the expertise needed for successful projects,”she said.
Zimbabwe’s government is keen to attract foreign investors and banking on its mining sector, particularly gold, to drive economic recovery and create jobs.
By showcasing Zimbabwe’s mining potential on the global stage, Rushwaya aims to position the country as a major player in the international gold market.
