A brief traffic mishap occurred near the Southerton Post Office when a heavy-duty truck unknowingly obstructed President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s private motorcade en route from State House to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital.

Presidential spokesperson George Charamba confirmed the incident, noting that the truck driver was unaware he had temporarily blocked the motorcade, as the Presidential Security Team maintained a deliberately low-profile presence throughout the journey.

Charamba emphasised that the President’s convoy strictly adhered to all traffic regulations during the unscheduled trip.

He further clarified that no police outriders were deployed, and the security detail remained discreet throughout.
