Government has postponed the Higher Education Examination Council (HEXCO) Theory Trade Testing examinations which were scheduled for the 27th to 30th July 2021.
HEXCO confirmed the postponement to a later date in a memo dated 23 July 2021.
“The memo serves to notify the July 2021 Theory Trade Testing examinations registered candidates, that HEXCO examinations which were scheduled for 27-30 July 2021 have been postponed to a date to advised,” reads the memo.
According to HEXCO the suspension is in line with Covid-19 regulations that were put in place by the government.
Meanwhile, HEXCO’s decision comes at a time when other tertiary education colleges and universities in the country already postponed their examinations together with physical lectures in June.
Government earlier revealed that it is set to introduce a vaccination program to all institutions in the country.
Deputy Minister of Health, Dr John Mangwiro confirmed the plan at the Robert Mugabe international airport, during the arrival of 2 million Sinovac vaccine doses on 8 July.
“Our vaccination program will carry on until we vaccinate the targeted number of people, we have noted that all nationwide universities and colleges need to get vaccinated without any delay,” he said.
