Zimbabwean Comedy Legend Charles "Marabha" Mapalume Passes Away

The Zimbabwean entertainment industry is in shock following the news of Charles Mapalume – commonly referred to by his stage name Marabha- passing.

Fellow entertainers confirmed this tragic development on Saturday, 19 April.

Shugeta Confirms His Death

Tafadzwa “Shugeta” Ben, an established radio personality in Zimbabwe, broke the sad news via Facebook post and expressed his profound sorrow over Marabha’s demise early hours of 19 April at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital formerly Harare Hospital.

While no cause of Marabha’s passing has been officially disclosed as of yet.

Shugeta wrote in an emotive post, which touched her readers immensely:

“With heavy hearts we mourn the passing of Charles Mapalume (popularly known as Marabha) this morning at Harare Hospital. Fly High King.”

Content creator Regina, who had collaborated with Marabha previously, also expressed her condolences with an emotive post:

“Wanddirwadzisa umwe wangu, wandisiira rondapamoyo may your soul rest in peace Marabha.”

Fans and Celebrities Pay Tribute to Marabha
