The skeletal remains of a 30-year-old Mashonaland West woman who went missing in March have been found at local farm.
The deceased, Rumbidzai William, went missing four months ago following an altercation with her husband.
Acting police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Ian Kohwera confirmed the incident saying William’s remains were found at a local farm.
“I can confirm that the remains of a 30-year-old woman were found at Penistock Farm near Mukuyu Primary School in Hurungwe. She had been missing for four months.
“Her remains were discovered on the 26th of July by a villager fetching firewood.
He added that while the husband had notified her relatives when she went missing, a police report had not been made.
“The deceased husband had notified her relatives, but no police report was made since then,” said Kohwera.
The late was identified using her dress and mobile phone.
