13 Kilograms of Dagga Intercepted in Drug Bust

Mashonaland West police have intercepted 13 kilograms of dagga after arresting a courier who had hidden the drug in a luggage compartment.

National Police Spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the development.

“On 23 April 2025, detectives from CID Drugs and Narcotics intercepted a Bridgestone bus at Rimuka bus terminus, Kadoma.

“They arrested Tamari Shoko (30) in connection with unlawful possession of seven cobs of dagga weighing 13 kilograms.

“The Dagga was stashed in the luggage compartment of the bus,” said Commissioner Nyathi.

He said in a related matter, police in Buhera on the same day also arrested Shupikai Chivero for unlawful cultivating 138 plants of dagga.
