DOCTORS have said they remain unfazed by the formation of a splinter group reportedly linked to the ruling Zanu PF party, which they accused of seeking to divert attention on their grievances. A new group, the Progressive Doctors Association of Zimbabwe, was last week formed as a direct response by the government to the Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association, which has been a thorn in government’s flesh after its members went on strike to demand better pay, medicines for the hospitals and better working conditions. Today marks 105 days after the industrial action by doctors started.– Newsday
