All four patients from Mashonaland East province who earlier contracted COVID 19 have recovered.
According to the latest update released by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) Zimbabwe has 31 COVID 19 confirmed cases, 4 deaths and 5 recoveries.
Of the 5 recoveries 4 are from Mashonaland East and one from Matebeleland North province.
The Ministry continues to be on high alert to the Covid-19 pandemic.
As part of intensified surveillance and contact tracing, the ministry has also identified two cases from the rural areas of Mhondoro who were contacts of the late case 27.
“Case number 29 and 30 reported yesterday involve a 46 year old female and a 66 year old male patients respectively. Both are residents of Mhondoroand were direct contacts of case number 27. The rapid response team (RRT) visited them at their village for assessment and collected samples for testing. Currently they have been advised to self –isolate”.
As of yesterday, the World Health Organization reported that a cumulative, total of 2 804 796 confirmed cases and 193722 deaths had been recorded from more than 210 countries globally.
