Masvingo – Masvingo based poet, Ngonidzashe Paradza has released a novel titled, ‘Kumberi Takamirigwa’.
The title of the book loosely translates to “The future awaits us’.
In the novel, the author stresses the importance of working hard for a better future and the consequences of immorality through thought provoking expressions and various literacy devices.
The book is a source of inspiration and aids self introspection.
Speaking to Bustop TV, Paradza said he wrote the novel to motivate people to keep working hard.
“Every good deed one does will be rewarded; the future will always pay you back in whatever deed one does. All we have to do is to work hard, what we are today is not what will be in the future but this will be due to good and hard work. The future is the reflection of our yesterday, will all reap where we sow,” he said.
He added that information has to be passed on from generation to generation through literary work.
“It is important to make sure that history is passed from generation to generation through different means. I have been doing poems but at the same time l can use the novel to pass information to the next generation. This way is still relevant to the people and should be still utilised as we still have people who want to read and who are not fans of the social media. The book is aimed at meeting various audiences and those who support me.”
The book is going to bring positivity and optimism in the audiences.
“The book stresses that one does not only need money for a start but that little push to start something and l am coming in with that push emphasizing that if someone has something they want to start working, please start today as the future is waiting for us. The younger generation must work hard, the book will shift the thinking of the younger generation through poetry, there is need to work extra hard,” said the poet.
Paradza added that with hard work and determination people can achieve their dreams.
He is currently pushing his book to reach wider audiences and be a success.
