Mnangagwa Calls for Action to Address Issues Affecting Zimbabwe's Informal Sector

President Emmerson Mnangagwa reaffirmed the Second Republic’s commitment to addressing the needs of all sectors and communities, emphasizing the government’s goal of leaving no one and no place behind.

During an engagement with vendors at State House today, the President highlighted the significant role the informal sector plays in Zimbabwe’s economy, providing livelihoods for millions.

However, he expressed concern about some negative trends emerging within the sector, warning that if these issues are not addressed, they could have severe consequences for the country and undermine the sector’s critical contributions.

President Mnangagwa also stressed that the responsibility to build, modernize, and industrialize Zimbabwe rests with every sector and community.

This collective duty, he noted, is essential not only for the current generation but also for future generations, urging unity and patriotism among all Zimbabweans in working toward a shared national vision.
