FC Platinum shot stopper Francis Tizayi has revealed that his club is ready to face their opponents Al Ahly in a CAF Champions League encounter set to be played tommorow Saturday at Babourfields(BF) Stadium in Bulawayo.
At a press conference held today (Friday) at BF the former Masvingo United goalkeeper told the media that his team is ready to gear up and face the 6 time African Champions(Al Ahly).
“We are all geared up for this game, its just unfortunate that in the last games we could not produce positive results.
“Its unfortunate that our tactics have not been bringing positive results but as we go for the game tommorow we hope our plan and our tactics will bring a positive result,” said Tizayi.
Franics went on to say all is well in their camp and there are prepared to gun down the African giants tommorow.
“Because we have lost all the games does not mean moral is low, moral is high to the boys.” Tizayi
Tizayi is set to start on the goals for FC Platinum tommorow after the departure of Wallace Magalane who was offloaded last week by the money bags though he was partly involved in this campaign as the first choice under the guidance of former coach Norman Mapeza.
With the former Warriors goalkeeper Petros Mhari facing a grey patch, it seems Tizayi has found some favour with the new coaching department that has been led by Lizwe Sweswe who won the league with FC Platinum before the reigning champions this week roped in highly rated former Bosso coach Peter De Jongh.
This game seems to be more crucial for the Zvishavane based team who anchor the group after losing all their opening fixtures while Al Ahly lead the group on six points.
Failure to collect maximum points tommorow will see FC Platinum shown the exit to CAF Champions League competition twice in a row.
