Late fitness bunny and video vixen, Michelle ‘Moana’ Amuli will finally be laid to rest tomorrow, Saturday at Warren Hills Cemetery, Harare after the High Court granted her paternal family burial rights.

This comes after clashes between her maternal and paternal family over the burial procedure spilled into the courts.

Moana’s mother, Yolanda Kuvaonga sought an interdict canceling the burial order in her father, Ishameal Amuli’s possession designating Warren Hills Cemetery as her final resting place.

In delivering the judgement Judge Pisirayi Kwenda said Kuvaonga’s application had been dismissed with costs.

“It’s correct that the deceased was born to the Amuli family and it’s a constitutional value that cannot be taken away she identified with the customs of her family.

“Amuli raised her and was the sole custodian and he chose the religion for her

“Applicant was absent from her daughter’s life from her infancy and it was Amuli’s constitutional right to choose. A year that she didn’t speak to her father is nothing compared with the 25 years they were in good books.

“I conclude that the burial order was correctly issued and there is nothing wrong with its issuance it remains valid.”

Moana died almost three weeks back in a fatal car accident along with flamboyant businessman and socialite, Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure, Limumba Karim and Mozambican model, Alichia Adams.

She was aged 26 and is survived by her daughter, Tyra.
