Breaking News: Henrietta Rushwaya granted $100 000 bail

Suspended Zimbabwe Miners Federation boss and former ZIFA CEO Henrietta Rushwaya has been granted $100,000 bail by Harare magistrate Ngoni Nduna.

She has been held since October 26, accused of attempting to smuggle 6kg of gold to Dubai through the RGM International Airport

As part of her bail conditions, Henrietta Rushwaya must not go 80km near any border and is supposed to report to police 3 times weekly.

Rushwaya’s bail appeal was earlier turned down by High Court judge, Justice Benjamin Chikowore last year in December.

Rushwaya was arrested three months ago at the Robert Mugabe International airport, in an attempt to smuggle 6kgs of gold to Dubai.

She also faced charges of trying to bribe security details marning the airport with USD$5 000 after being caught red handed with gold at the airport.

Rushwaya was also on another charge of unlawful possession of gold. She was jointly charged with Ali Mohammed, a Pakistan bussiness mogul who was also released on a $100, 000 bail.
