2019 relegation survivers Bulawayo Chiefs are deemed to be demanding USD30,000 to any club that will seek the service of their utility player Arthur ‘Diego’ Musiyiwa.
The short pint midfielder was amongst the outstanding players that helped Chiefs escape the chop from the top flight league.
He has caught the attention of many local teams who are now vying for the player’s signature.
It is rumored that the latest team to inquire about Arthur’s availability are third place runners up Caps United.
The 2016 league champions are on the verge of rebuilding their team to a youthful squad after most of their key players are said to have left the Harare giants. These players include Soccer Star of the Year Josta Ngodzo whose now plying his trade in Zambia.
Futhermore, the former cup kings have been forced to thoroughly invade in the transfere market to boost their team, with the name Musiyiwa also on their radar.
This publication has it on good authority that Makepekepe engaged Amakhosi for the midfielder’s signature and the latter said their player is worthy USD30,000 or 450,000 rands equivalent.
An amicable source told this Bustop TV sports that failure to provide whats needed the team is likely not to accept any offer less than USD$20,000 USD to release Arthur.
“Bulawayo Chiefs are demanding 30,000 US Dollars or 450,000 rands equivalent to release Diego for a move to Caps United.
“If Makepekepe are to negotiate with them for the service of Diego, I believe they wont go any less than USD20,000,” said the source who spoke to this publication on condition of anonymity.
However, Bulawayo Chiefs spokesperson Thulani Sibanda told this paper that currently there are not in a position to talk about their players’ transfers.
He also said if there are any developments concerning their pre-season transfere they will notify the public.
“At the moment we dont want to comment on current talks about our players.
“We are happy to make announcements when deals are finalised,” said Thulani Sibanda.
The ‘Ninjas’ as they are affectionately known have been finding it difficult in the domestic football fighting relegation in the past two seasons.
This is likely to see the cash strapped Chiefs faced with player exodus within their current crop of squad.
Many players are likely to end their marriage with Bulawayo Chiefs who are facing some financial challenges in search for greener pastures.
Both, defender Malvin Mkolo and goalkeeper Bizanani are already linked with moves to city rivals Highlanders FC.
