Zengeza’s landlord joined with four others to frighten his tenants into paying rental payments by attacking them violently with clubs.
Crispen Marara has gone into hiding following his conviction for killing Tendai Nenguwo and is being hunted down.
Tendai collected US$560 from each tenant of Marara’s parents’ house on Hanga Street in Zengeza 1 before turning it over for their use.
Marara took offence and, according to reports, hired four individuals and used their fists or broomsticks to assault Tendai with forceful strikes across his body.
His hospital of admission was Chitungwiza Central Hospital, where he ultimately passed away on Sunday afternoon.

Harare Provincial Police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed his case by soliciting information that could serve as the basis for the arrest of Marara and his associates.
“Police are investigating a murder within Zengeza.”

“According to allegations against this individual who died, the funds of this individual had been improperly utilised by this deceased.”
“She passed away while admitted at Chitungwiza Central Hospital on April 13,” according to Insp Chakanza.
Tendai announced to his sister Yvette Masango that the burial would occur at Chihota Village the following morning.
“Our hearts were broken when he passed.
“After the attack, this patient frequently complained of chest discomfort.
“He did not wish to report the incident to the police.
