The Namibia Eagles bashed Zimbabwe Emerging Players by 132 runs on Sunday giving the Eagles a 2-0 and series win in a game being played in Windhoek, Namibia.
The loss by Zimbabwe is the second huge loss in this series having lost by 7 wickets on Saturday.
Craig Williams (77) and Zane Green (44) started well for the Eagles before Green fell to Tadiwanashe Nyangani in the 8th over.
Trouble for Zimbabwe came when Johannes Jonathan Smit came through smashing 10 sixes and 4 fours for his 93 not out making sure that Namibia posted a massive 254/4.
Zimbabwe never looked like they would manage to chase the score with explosive Brian Chari’s 33 off 6 balls being top of the scorers.
Tanaka Chivanga 21) did well, under the circumstances, towards the end of the game but his efforts were futile as the team had already fallen.
Seasoned players such as Zimbabwe limited overs captain, Chamunorwa Chibhabba (15), Kevin Kasuza (12), Richmond Mutumbami (16) and Carl Mumba (11) had less of an impact in the game as they all contributed to the paltry 122 runs the team eventually scored.
The two teams will now play the remaining unofficial T20I match on Monday, August 16 and three 50 over matches on August 18, 20 and 22 respectively.
