In an effort to revive the urban grooves genre, South African based TK Hollun, real name Tendekayi Mushekwi is set to release his sixth album titled “Blood Pressure” this Saturday (07 December 2019).
Produced by Nigerian Capt Blu and James Adams of the Chitsidzo fame, the 12 track album was recorded at TK Hollun’s studio, Shakestone Records located Durban.
Blood Pressure consists of heart-touching love songs as well as tracks that relate to the artiste’s personal experiences.
“Blood Pressure is a love song that describes the pain of not having the one you love by your side,” he said.
Other songs on the album include Ndafunga Kumba, Ndinokuda, Holy Ghost, Denga, Ready, Turn Up, Heavy Party, BOM and On Fire.
The artist recently released a foreshadowing title track “Blood Pressure” together with the video as a way of enticing his listeners. The single is doing well on local radio stations, especially on Radio Zimbabwe where it entered the charts.
“The idea of releasing a forerunner single was to hype the album and test the waters. It is doing well and this is good news as I prepare to release my latest album,”said TK Hollun.
The album features artists from Zimbabwean born and South African based artists such as Asali who featured on the track Turn Up as well as Adams, who featured on the track Mukuru.
