University of Sydney Offers Scholarships for Outstanding International Undergraduate Students

The University of Sydney is providing 20 prestigious undergraduate scholarships to exceptional international students from various priority regions.

These scholarships aim to support students pursuing a diverse range of undergraduate programmes at the institution.

Scholarships are available for any eligible bachelor’s degree offered at the university.

Number of Scholarships:

Each year, approximately 20 scholarships will be granted globally, distributed across two intakes. The selection process prioritises diversity in both academic fields and nationalities.

Target Group:

International students from eligible regions.

Scholarship Coverage:

Recipients will receive full coverage of tuition fees and the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) for the standard full-time duration of their undergraduate degree.

However, the scholarship does not cover additional expenses such as:

  • Overseas Health Cover (OSHC)
  • Living costs
  • Accommodation
  • Textbooks
  • Flights
  • Any expenses related to students under the age of 18

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Have applied for, but not yet commenced, an eligible single undergraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney, with a maximum duration of four years. Certain dual-degree programmes and those with a postgraduate component are not eligible.
  • Enrol as a full-time student in their chosen degree.
  • Be a first-time student at the University of Sydney (not commencing a second degree).
  • Qualify as an international student under the Higher Education Support Act 2003. Australian citizens, permanent residents, and dual citizens with Australian nationality are not eligible.
  • Have completed secondary education or a recognised foundation programme either in Australia or through a University of Sydney foundation partner.
  • Have no prior tertiary education experience (except for extension studies completed as part of a Year 12 programme).

Application Process:

Applications are submitted online and are accepted on a rolling basis. Only successful candidates will be notified after applying.
