The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has lowered the prices of Liquid Petroleum Gas with effect from February 8.
In a statement, the authority revealed that LPG will be sold at US$1.77 down from US$1.91 in January.
In Zimbabwean dollars, the authority said it will be ZW$1 449.85.
“Operators are advised to display the prices at their retail outlets at a prominent place in clearly legible letters. Please note that it is permissible to sell LPG at prices below the prescribed prices depending on one’s trading advantages.
“Stakeholders are advised that the petroleum price released by ZERA can be verified on the official ZERA website, Facebook or Twitter handle.” reads the statement.
The highest LPG price in 2022 was US$ 2.25 per KG.
