Croatian Zdravko Logarusic is the new Warriors head coach.
The announcement was made by ZIFA president, Felton Kambo in Harare this afternoon.
He will be assisted by Joey Antipas, Lloyd Chitembwe and Tonderayi Ndiraya.
The 57-year-old Croatian was Sudan coach until December 1 last year which led to his appointment by ZIFA.
He has also coached clubs in Ghana and Kenya which include giants Asante Kotoko Gor Mahia among others.
Whilst with Sudan, he had started the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations campaign well with a 4-0 home win against Sao Tome. It was the loss against South Africa that fast-tracked his firing.
In the 2019 AFCON qualifiers, his Sudan side had anchored the group with 3 points in a group that had Senegal, Madagascar and Equatorial Guinea also.
To his credit, he made Gor Mahia formidable again.
Logarusic is made headlines for claiming in 2019 that FIFA tampered with his Mo Salah vote and gave it to Lionel Messi.
He claimed that he had voted for Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Kylian Mbappe but FIFA announced that he voted for Lionel Messi, Virgil Van Dijk and Sadio Mane.
He holds a UEFA A pro licence.
