Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC) members of parliament and Youth taskforce Coordinator Takudzwa Ngadziore was allegedly abducted in the capital early today, tortured, and later dumped in Christon Bank in Mazowe.
Before the abduction, Ngadziore shared a seven-second Facebook live post where he was being stalked by two armed men believed to be State security agents.
“Ndirikuteerwa (I am being followed),” Ngadziore shouted in the video as armed men with an AK 47 riffle followed him.
Party spokesperson Promise Mkwananzi said Ngadziore was abducted on his way to parliament.
“Honourable Ngadziore was on his way to parliament when he was abducted by these rogue men. In the midst of the storm, he was brave enough to record and expose them,”
“This is yet another example of the ongoing wanton lawlessness that has gripped Zimbabwe since the advent of the sham election of the 23rd of August 2023. The continuous targeting of prominent CCC members is designed to instill fear among the generality of the populace. They know they did not win, they know the people are not happy and might rise and all this is meant to demobilize the people,” said Promise Mkwananzi on X.
Party deputy Spokesperson Gift Ostallos Siziba confirmed that Ngadziore was tortured and dumped in Mazowe.
“We have received information that Hon Takudzwa Ngadziore was tortured and dumped in Christon Bank in Mazowe. Our welfare and legal teams have been dispatched to locate him,” said Gift Ostallos Siziba posting on X.
Last week, CCC’s former MP for Mavuku/Tafara, James Chidhakwa, was also abducted, tortured, and injected with an unknown ‘substance’ before being dumped in Acturus.
