A two-men gang will rue the day they went on a carjacking and robbing spree around the capital city after a Harare court jailed them for 32 years in prison each.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said Tendai Magarasadza (28) and Vincent Hatinahama (33) went on a two day robbing spree in May 2025.
The duo face three counts of robbery.
Court records state that the duo carjacked a silver Honda Fit on 25 May 2025.
An unsuspecting woman (55) parked her car at a garage along Glen Eagles Road and left the key in the ignition.
“Magarasadza got into her vehicle and started the engine.
“The victim noticed that her car was in motion and tried to give chase and was intercepted by Hatinahama.
“He then grabbed her cellphone and jumped into the speeding vehicle,” said NPA.
Police units nabbed the duo on 27 May 2025 after they had robbed other victims using the same modus operandi.
Police tracked them, and they were found driving the stolen vehicle.
