The Zimbabwe Rugby men’s team, The Sables, once again beat the Burkinabè Stallions by a massive 95-05.
Zimbabwe were all but dominant in the match and were on the offensive from the onset.
Tonderayi Chiwambutsa opened the scoring in the fourth minute and completed his brace in the 61st minute.
New Zealand based Brendan Mudzekenyedzi was outstanding as he crossed the whitewash four times as the Stallions seemed to be overwhelmed by his presence.
Left wing, Matthew McNab also had a hat trick as he scored in the the 10th, 80th and 81st minute completing the annihilation of the Stallions.
Other tries came from Taku Chieza, Aiden Burnett, David Makamba, Sebastian Roche and Brendan Mandivenga.
Burkina Faso hit a consolation try with Amadou Outtara’s effort.
Dudley White Sharpley carried his kicking boots managing twelve of fifteen kicks between the posts.
Zimbabwe might just qualify for the World Cup 2023 if they maintain the momentum.
